Effective November 7, 2026
This policy explains what information Appeal Advantage collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers this website and the Appeal Advantage software we provide to property tax firms.
Information we collect
- Information you give us. Your name, work email, phone number, firm name and anything else you send when you contact us, book a review or sign up.
- Information in the service. The property, client, document and billing records your firm puts into Appeal Advantage. Your firm controls this information, and we handle it on your firm's behalf.
- Technical information. Basic details our servers and providers record when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, pages viewed and the time of the visit.
How we use it
- To provide, maintain, secure and improve the service.
- To answer your questions, arrange the reviews you book, and send service and account messages.
- To bill for the service and keep the records the law requires.
- To protect our users, our company and the public, and to meet our legal obligations.
How we share it
We share information only with service providers who help us run our website and the service and who must protect it, when the law requires it, in connection with a merger or sale of our business, or with your permission. We do not use the records your firm keeps in the service for any purpose other than providing the service to your firm.
Cookies
Our website and the service may use cookies and similar technologies that they need to work, such as keeping you signed in. You can control cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not work without them.
Security and retention
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect information. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. We keep information for as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as long as the law or our agreement with your firm requires.
Your choices
You can ask us to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, and you can opt out of non-essential emails at any time. If your information is in the service because a firm uses Appeal Advantage, please contact that firm first; we will help them respond.
Children
Appeal Advantage is a business service. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the effective date above, and for significant changes we will give notice through the website or the service.
