Terms of Use
Effective November 7, 2026
These terms apply to the Appeal Advantage website and software. By using them, you agree to these terms. If your firm has signed an agreement with Appeal Advantage, that agreement governs where it differs from these terms.
Using the service
Appeal Advantage provides software that helps property tax firms manage appeals, deadlines, documents, clients and billing. You may use it only for your firm's lawful business and in line with these terms and any agreement your firm has with us.
Accounts
You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information, for keeping your sign in details secure, and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you think your account has been misused.
Acceptable use
- Do not break the law or infringe anyone's rights through the service.
- Do not try to gain unauthorised access to the service, other accounts or our systems.
- Do not disrupt the service, overload it, or introduce malicious code.
- Do not copy, resell or reverse engineer the service except as the law allows.
Your data
Your firm keeps ownership of the information it puts into the service. You give us permission to host, process and display that information only as needed to provide the service. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information.
Our property
Appeal Advantage, the website, the software and their content belong to Appeal Advantage or its licensors. These terms do not give you any rights in them beyond the right to use the service as described here.
Your professional judgement
The service helps you organise your work. It does not give legal, tax or valuation advice, and it does not file on your behalf. Deadlines, rules and figures shown are aids; confirm them against official notices and sources. You remain responsible for your filings and the advice you give your clients.
Fees
Paid use of the service is set out in your firm's order or agreement with us, including fees, billing and renewal.
Disclaimers and liability
The website and service are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, Appeal Advantage is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the website or service.
Suspension and ending use
We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken or to protect the service or other users. You may stop using the service at any time, subject to your firm's agreement with us.
Changes
We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the effective date above, and for significant changes we will give notice through the website or the service.
